Thank you for considering to be a volunteer on our Students’ Association Board.
The Students’ Association Board is looking to find energetic, engaged, and diverse students to help guide the association. The board oversees the association and budget including assisting the student executives as we look to support RRC Polytech students.
This SA BOARD APPOINTMENT application will be reviewed by a panel. They will evaluate and mark your responses and then you will be ranked according to our rubric. The current Students’ Association Board will then review all applications and make a final decision at the Wednesday, April 13th board meeting. There are only a select number of volunteer board positions available each year within the SA. Depending on the number of applications and your responses, sometimes decisions are tough, but we wish you the best of luck as you apply.
Before filling out this board application, please visit our website www.rrcsa.ca to find out more on what the SA is, what we do, how we support students, and what services we provide. We are very different from Red River College Polytech with our own bylaws, policies, board, services, and supports.
This volunteer board commitment will be for one year and will entail monthly board meeting (currently Wednesday’s) that occur in the evenings and will last about 3-4 hours. You will also be required to sit on at least one committee which will have additional work and responsibilities. Please review the complete job duties and responsibilities on our website which are embedded in our bylaws.
You will receive an email by Friday, April 15, 2022 confirming if you were selected and appointed to be on the board for the coming year. If selected, you will have an orientation about board responsibilities which will get scheduled. Your first official board meeting will be on . If selected, please review our association bylaws to become familiar with the SA.
Thanks again for putting yourself forward to volunteer to be a board member, we will be in touch.
