Student Referendums – 2026 Election

The Students’ Association is seeking student approval on two (2) referendum questions during the 2026 election year. The Students’ Association (SA) is a separate organization from RRC Polytech and operates under its own bylaws and policies, including the process for introducing new student fees.

A referendum is a direct question asked to all students to determine whether the SA should proceed with a major project, service, or proposal. Each referendum is unique and asks students to decide on a specific issue.

Students will vote Yes or No on each question. If the majority of students vote Yes, the proposed project or service will move forward. If the majority vote No, the proposal will not proceed.

These referendum questions will appear immediately after you vote for the 2026–2027 Students’ Association Executive. Voting is conducted entirely online through the SA website from Monday, March 2 to Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Please review the full background and details for each referendum below. If you have any questions, contact the SA President, Jasmine Lucero, at sa_president@rrc.ca.
