EDC: Turban Pride Day

Turban Pride Day:

The RRCSA invites all staff, students, and community members to learn about Sikh culture by wearing a turban with pride. Everyone is welcome to attend the event, to ask questions, and to wear a turban for the day.

The event started in 2014, when business administration student (now RRC Polytech staff) Sukhjot Singh, as a way to educate staff and students who might have questions about his turban but were too afraid to ask. The annual event is now led by the Red River College Polytechnic Students’ Association with support from the College.

What: Student volunteers will be wrapping turbans, offering light refreshments, and spreading awareness of Sikh culture. 
When: Friday, April 12 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Where: Exchange District Campus, Atrium (outside the Students’ Association office)
