CAMPUS CLUBS

STUDENT CLUBS

Student Clubs are a great way to meet people, to work together with your peers towards a common goal, or to share something important to you with like-minded individuals.

The Red River College Students’ Association (SA) can help you join a club of your interest or start one of your own. Once you’re in your club, the SA can help you with fundraising for any events your club is planning, for a worthy cause you would like to support.

Joining or starting a club is as easy as organizing a birthday party! Contact your friends, plan and ready to go!

RRCSA offers supports to recognized student groups including office spaces, equipment rentals, meeting space, funding, and more.

Interested in joining a club? Fill out the short form below and we will forward your info to the club leaders.

Every Club under RRCSA should be renewed annually, if a club misses the renewal date it will be put on probation until renewed. Vice President Internal will send a reminder email to a club for renewal of their club. If no response is received from the executives, Club will be transferred to new executives, if any or put on probation until new members take over.

How to renew a Club?

Executives have to email Vice President Internal at sa_internal@rrc.ca to confirm that the club is still active with the names of at least five active members that are actively participating in Club activities.

When to renew a Club?

Every Club should be renewed by June 30th of every fiscal year.

What if a club missed the deadline to renew a club?

Vice President Internal will send a reminder email between June 30th to July 31st to all the clubs who missed their deadline. If the Vice President Internal has not heard back from Club executives by August 31st, the Club will automatically be closed and the funds will be transferred to RRCSA Club account.

Who can renew a Club?

All Club executives and club members may have the ability to renew a club.

HOW TO START YOUR OWN CLUBS?

STEP 1: Look into the Clubs Directory to see if the club you want to run already exists. If the purposes, commodities, and/or services of your club are too similar to those of another club. Because your Club Recognition application is too identical, we may refuse it at our discretion.

STEP 2: Read the Club Policies two tabs over.

STEP 3: Determine the club’s interest and demand among students. If you mention your club idea to other students (classmates, friends, etc.) and no one looks interested, you will have a difficult time launching your club.

STEP 4: If your friends or classmates seems interested in your Club Idea, check with them if they want to become a club member or club executive. All RRCSA Clubs needs five members who are in good standings with RRC Polytech and RRCSA. These five members can be members or executives of the Club. Every Club needs at least three executives to run.
